Automakers typically stagger their model rollouts to give individual products time in the spotlight. With Aston Martin Valhalla deliveries already underway, the supercar could soon take its next form. That form will be an open-top Spider version.
The Aston Martin Valhalla Spider will reportedly debut as early as November 2026 and is expected to be more limited than the coupe, which is capped at 999 examples. Such a configuration would place it alongside plug-in hybrid supercar rivals like the Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider. The Lamborghini Revuelto, meanwhile, doesn’t have an open-top version yet, though it recently received a more track-oriented SV version.

The Open-Air Formula May Be a Targa
According to The Supercar Blog, citing industry sources, the Valhalla Spider could use a targa-top configuration, which typically has a fixed rear section and a removable roof panel, instead of a traditional convertible setup. This would provide an open-air experience while retaining part of the roof structure. That could include the coupe’s roof scoop, which supplies air to the cooling systems and engine.
To be more specific, the PHEV supercar is equipped with a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 paired with three electric motors, producing a combined output of approximately 1,064 horsepower – putting it in the same league as the Ferrari 849 Testarossa and Lamborghini Revuelto. The same powertrain is expected to carry over to the Spider.
As with many open-top versions, the Valhalla Spider could carry a weight penalty, though its carbon-fiber construction may help keep any increase modest. For reference, the British marque quotes a dry weight of 1,655 kg (about 3,649 pounds) for the coupe.

Paying For the View
The report did not specify how many Aston Martin Valhalla Spiders could be produced. But the new version should help expand the model’s appeal, especially among those willing to trade a bit of performance for an open-top driving experience. Open-top versions are also typically more expensive than their coupe counterparts. While pricing has yet to be announced, the Valhalla coupe reportedly starts at around $1 million.
In addition, the Valhalla Spider would allow customers to have an open-top Aston Martin supercar without going for the more extreme Valkyrie Spider, which is limited to just 85 examples.
